Takakkaw Falls
Sunday, September 2, 2007
Takakkaw Falls, the second highest waterfall in Canada, is one of Yoho National Park's premiere tourist attractions, which means hundreds of people photograph this cascade every day. Like anywhere else in the park, if you hike for even 5 minutes away from the parking lot, the crowds of tourists disappear...
The duotone was shot with my K10D / DA 50-200 from north of the falls along the Yoho Valley trail, while the other two were taken with the DA 18-55, from the more traditional vantage point just below the falls.

your skills are truly amazing... i recently started as an amatuer photographer, ironically in the rockies too. i can truly say i am jealous of you being able to spend your time as you do. Great work

Thanks for the kind words, but dont get too jealous: I'm back in school now and am struggling to fit my photography into my courseload!
